In Q2 2021, Europe's top Film & Television apps on iOS demonstrated varied performance metrics. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, and ITVX.

Netflix saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.55M in the final week of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at around 336K in late March, dipping to about 290K in late May, and rising to 380K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 23.1M and ending at a similar level, with minor fluctuations.

Amazon Prime Video experienced consistent weekly revenue, with a noticeable peak at around $580K in the last week of June. Downloads started at 231K in late March, dropped to about 160K in early June, and remained steady around 176K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight decline from 4.3M in late March to 3.8M by the end of June.

Disney+ had a notable revenue peak of around $2.9M at the end of March, before seeing a general decline and then a rise again to $2.5M by the end of June. Download trends showed a decrease from 216K in late March to 143K in late May, followed by a rise to 207K by the end of June. Active users saw a slight increase from 6.4M to 6.5M over the quarter.

BBC iPlayer maintained a stable download rate of around 30K to 40K until early June, when downloads surged to 134K, peaking at 133K by the end of the month. Active users saw a significant increase from 337K in late March to 568K by the end of June.

ITVX showed a significant uptick in revenue, peaking at approximately $154K in the final week of June. Downloads were relatively low early in the quarter, but surged to 205K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar trend, rising from 399K in late March to 750K by the end of June.
